Several on-site visits were done in all of the projects areas including detailed reports and images obtained with the drone about every essential aspect. The site visits were tracked using an app that shows all the locations visited with exact coordinates for each Point of Interest (POI): possible locations for the substation, access road, site location, and key points of interest such as the roads, gas pipeline, drainage canals, irrigation pipes, electricity transmission and distribution towers, possible locations for the substation, etc. The technical due diligence documentation reviewed key aspects of the project, such as performance objectives, sustainability approach, review of existing studies and documentation, assessment of the existing situation of the corridors, preliminary transport surveys, preliminary engineering surveys, line network, financial and economic feasibility (investment cost estimates, financial analysis, economic analysis), environmental and social impact assessment, climate change, energy goals, legal and institutional feasibility.
