NBB Renewables SRL prepared a detailed report in order to analyze the documents related to the investment initiative for the construction of a wind farm, along Scânteiești commune, at the central part of Galați County, Romania. The Project comprises 15 turbines with associated infrastructure (peak power of 95.9 MW). The wind power plant will be installed on an area of approximately 24 hectares.
The scheduled date for Read to Build is March 2024.
The proposed project has the following key details:
– Land has been secured and the site is relatively flat, with relatively good wind speeds;
– Connection to the grid can be done in the transmission network infrastructure in the vicinity of the project areas;
– There is low risk of natural disasters such as flooding, earthquakes, etc.;
– Social and political acceptance for wind turbine generators is generally very high in Romania, especially in rural areas; The technical due diligence documentation reviewed key aspects of the project, such as performance objectives, sustainability approach, review of existing studies and documentation, assessment of the existing situation of the corridors, preliminary transport surveys, preliminary engineering surveys, line network, financial and economic feasibility (investment cost estimates, financial analysis, economic analysis), environmental and social impact assessment, climate change, energy goals, legal and institutional feasibility.
